6 Strategies to Accelerate Literacy Outcomes for All Students

DR. CHERYL LUNDY SWIFT has a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, is a distinguished educational leader, and has been recognized with multiple awards for her achievements. She served as the lead curriculum developer for Learning Without Tears' Get Set for School Language and Literacy curriculum, which received an AEP Distinguished Achievement Award, and was awarded the Investors Bank Educator of the Year Award.

DR. CHRISTINA BRETZ is an occupational therapist who has spent the last twenty-three years working at Learning Without Tears. She has extensive pediatric experience as a school-based OT, working in home health, telehealth and organizing summer camps for children of all abilities. Currently, she serves as the internal learning manager at LWT in addition to being an adjunct professor at Eastern Kentucky University.

SAM DEFFES has been an educator for over 18 years. She began her career at Smart Pope Livingston Elementary in Duval County (FL) and taught grades K-4 where she lead the MTSS team. She has also served Duval County as a reading coach and district literacy specialist. Sam is an accomplished professional development facilitator, coach, and content developer. She received her master’s degree from the University of Florida with a focus on curriculum and instruction in reading. She is currently a literacy advisor for Learning Without Tears.

NINA ISAAC has been with Learning Without Tears (LWT) since 2009 working with both the Product Ideation and Customer Success Groups. For the last 3 years, Nina has been on the Professional Learning Team where she is responsible for trainings and sales enablement with a focus on technology in education. Nina is highly skilled at building partnerships with customers in her role as Senior Professional Learning Partnerships Manager.
