Nina Isaac has enjoyed working at Learning Without Tears since 2009. She began on the Product Ideation Team and then moved to the Customer Success Team for Keyboarding Without Tears® when the product was first launched in 2014. As the Senior Professional Learning Partnerships Manager, Nina shares her subject matter expertise and enthusiasm around the Learning Without Tears digital products, with an emphasis on Keyboarding Without Tears.
As an award-winning educator, motivational speaker andentrepreneur, Cheryl Lundy Swift brings a unique mix of wit, grit and passion to ‘edutain’ and inspire her audience. Cheryl is the founder and CEO of EduPower, an education consulting firm that empowers school and business leaders, teachers, parents, and students to reach their fullest potential. Cheryl has worked in leadership and executive roles for various educational organizations including public schools, post-secondary institutions, and education companies. She has written curriculum, developed professional learning, and delivered keynote addresses and workshops for thousands of teachers and students around the country.
Hilary Price is a graduate of National-Louis University in Chicago, where she earned both her bachelor's degree in early childhood education and her master's degree in curriculum and instruction. She began her journey in the education field over 20 years ago, first as a Pre–K teacher and later as a Kindergarten teacher. In these roles, she served Spanish- and English-speaking students of varying needs and developmental levels in both Chicago and Denver. Hilary also has experience in developing curriculum and content for early grade students, with a focus on early literacy. She has proudly worked at with Learning Without Tears since 2021, first as a National Presenter and now as a Professional Learning Literacy Advisor. Hilary is passionate about impacting the lives of all students through her work in the creation and facilitation of effective professional learning to support educators, students, and families alike.
Sam Deffes has worked in education for over 17 years. She began teaching grades K–4 and has also served as a reading coach, district literacy specialist, professional development facilitator and designer as well as a curriculum developer. Sam has a passion and experience working with Title I schools and has spent most of her career working in Florida’s lowest performing schools. She is a proud graduate of the University of Florida where she obtained her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Reading. Sam was thrilled to join Learning Without Tears as a Professional Learning Literacy Advisor in May 2022 to continue sharing her passion of literacy, coaching, and supporting educators and helping to ensure that all students receive the educational experience they deserve.
Sequentially and systematically guide students in Grades K–3 on the path toward fluency with digital connected texts and activities that give them practice on targeted phonics skills.
Help young learners in Grades Pre-K–1 build alphabet knowledge by integrating phonics with connected texts. Support students with digital editions of all program books, along with read-alouds and fun activities.
Prepare students in Grades 3–5 for online tests with Assessment Accelerator. By engaging in a series of digital lessons, students practice online test-taking skills such as construct a response, matching, graphing, equation building, and more.
